Gemini Enterprise MCP server

Your ad accounts, inside Gemini Enterprise.

Add one MCP server to your team's connected apps, sign in with the Google account that already reaches your accounts on Google's own platforms, such as Google Ads, GA4 or DV360, and ask. Read-only, every platform, no new credentials to issue.

Live data in the chat

The account answers, not a spreadsheet.

Upbuild has an MCP server as part of its toolset, so Gemini calls your platforms itself, across every major ad and analytics platform, such as Google Ads, Meta or GA4. Ask across three of them in one sentence and the numbers come back live, dated today, with the tool that fetched them named in the reply.

It reads, it never writes

Every tool that touches an advertising platform is read-only. Nothing Gemini can call will change a budget, a tag, an audience or a campaign.

Only what your login can see

Sign-in is per person. On your own, you see exactly the accounts your logins already reach, and a colleague on the same connector sees theirs. As a member of an organisation on Upbuild, you also inherit every account your company shares with you. No shared service account, no accounts you were never given.

Dashboards, from Gemini

Ask Gemini for a dashboard. It lives on Upbuild, always on.

Describe the dashboard you want in Gemini, and it is built from your live accounts and published to your Upbuild account in the same conversation. From then on it refreshes itself, every 30 minutes, every hour or once a day, at its own link that your team and your stakeholders can open, with no Gemini seat and no platform login.

Change it from Gemini, too

Want another chart, a different market split or a weekly refresh? Say so in Gemini and the dashboard updates in place. Every change is saved as a version you can restore.

Shared, not screenshotted

The link is the deliverable. Share it with named colleagues or your whole organisation, and the numbers people read are today's numbers, not the ones from the day you exported them.

Exports and alerts, from Gemini

Schedule the data and set the alert, without leaving Gemini.

A scheduled export is a job Upbuild runs for you: it collects the data you name from every account you choose, on the schedule you set, and delivers ready-to-use tables to your data warehouse, cloud storage or a spreadsheet. Ask for one in Gemini in a sentence, and Upbuild keeps it running whether or not Gemini is open. Exports and alerts live in the Upbuild app, so this needs an Upbuild account, not just the connector.

Change it from Gemini, too

Add a Monday run, pull more history, add a destination or change the time: say so in Gemini and the export updates. Every change is saved as a version you can restore.

Alerts, the same way

Tell Gemini what to watch, such as any campaign past 80% of its monthly budget, and who to tell. Upbuild checks it every time the data refreshes and sends the warning by email, Slack or Microsoft Teams. It never changes anything in your accounts.

Prompts

Five to paste on the first day.

Written the way a media buyer would ask, not the way an API is queried. Press Copy, paste it into Gemini, and swap in your own account names.

Ask across platforms in one go

Name the platforms, the period and the numbers you care about. Gemini fetches each one and lines them up in one table.

Ask for the deliverable, not the data

Say what you need to send on: a table, a one-page review, three sentences of commentary. Gemini does the collecting and the writing.

Change the names, keep the shape.

Show Google Ads search terms with spend but zero conversions last month.
Query my BigQuery marketing dataset for the top 20 campaigns by conversions last quarter and compare them to what Google Ads reports.
List every active DV360 line item under my main advertiser with its flight dates, and flag which ones end this month.
List my GTM containers and what tags are live in my main container.
Compare last month with the same month last year across Google Ads and Meta by market: spend, conversions, CPA, ROAS. Say which markets really changed and which is noise.

Setup

Three screens in Gemini, one step in Google Cloud.

It works on any paid Gemini Enterprise edition: Business, Standard, Plus or Frontline. You need to be a team admin, and you need access to the Google Cloud console for the one step Gemini's own admin panel does not expose. The whole thing is done once, by one person.

Add the MCP server

Click the settings gear at the bottom of the left sidebar, choose your team name, then Manage team. Open Connected apps and select Add MCP Server. The server URL is https://connector.upbuild.app/mcp and the name is Upbuild. Write the description carefully: Gemini reads it to decide when to reach for these tools, so the setup page gives you one listing every platform to copy.

Add the OAuth details

On the Auth screen the authorisation and token URLs are /authorize and /token on the same host. The client id and secret are published on the setup page: they identify the Gemini Enterprise app to Upbuild and grant no access to any data on their own. Leave Auth URL Parameter empty. Scopes is required and will not take a blank, and mcp is the correct value.

Enable the actions, then ask

This is the step Gemini's admin panel does not offer, and until you do it Upbuild looks connected but nothing runs. In the Google Cloud console, open Gemini Enterprise, pick the project Gemini created for your tenant, go to Data stores, open Upbuild, then Actions: Reload custom actions, tick every one, Enable actions. Back in Gemini, open Connectors, select Connect on Upbuild and sign in with Google.

More than one login in the same tenant? Agencies that keep client logins apart add a second and a third server, /mcp2 and /mcp3, each with its own sign-ins and its own actions to enable in Google Cloud. How to add a second login.

What Gemini reaches

One connector, everything you already have.

3,000+Ad and analytics accounts you can connect and read from Gemini through one connector
100+Dashboards refreshing on their own schedules, all of them available to Gemini
700+Metrics and dimensions Gemini can ask for by name, mapped in the Upbuild data reference
4+AI assistants: Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot Studio and Gemini Enterprise, plus any other MCP assistant

Before you ask us

The two things that actually go wrong.

Both are fixed in the Google Cloud console, not in Upbuild.

Gemini says it cannot find the Upbuild tools

Almost always the actions are not enabled. Open the Upbuild data store in the Google Cloud console and check that the Actions tab shows every row as Enabled. Gemini sometimes claims the connector does not exist at all when its actions are off, which sends people back to the server URL for no reason.

Only some of the actions are enabled

The list shows 50 rows at a time and the header checkbox only covers the visible page. Set rows per page to 200, or repeat on page two, until every row shows Enabled.

Coverage

Many of the connected platforms are Google's own.

Google's own platforms, such as Google Ads, GA4 or DV360, are read through the same connection you signed in with. The rest, such as Meta or Adobe Analytics, link from the same connect hub, now or later, which is what makes a first question like "summarise last month across Google Ads and Meta: spend, conversions, ROAS, top five campaigns" answerable at all.

Google Ads

The full account hierarchy, campaigns, ad groups, search terms and assets, queried the way the API is queried rather than exported first. A manager account with hundreds of child accounts is one question, not hundreds. There is a worked example of a full account review in auditing Google Ads with Gemini Enterprise.

"Show Google Ads search terms with spend but zero conversions last month."

Google Analytics 4 and BigQuery

Any GA4 property, any report, realtime included, plus your own BigQuery projects, datasets and tables read next to it. One question can cross both, which is how a platform number and a modelled number get compared without a ticket.

"Query my BigQuery marketing dataset for the top 20 campaigns by conversions last quarter and compare them to what Google Ads reports."

Display & Video 360 and Campaign Manager 360

Partners, advertisers, campaigns and line items on the DV360 side. Advertisers, campaigns, Floodlight configuration, saved reports and change logs on the CM360 side, which is the pair most reporting tools skip.

"List every active DV360 line item under my main advertiser with its flight dates, and flag which ones end this month."

Google Tag Manager and Sheets

Accounts, containers, workspaces, tags, triggers, variables and the live version, across hundreds of containers, plus the spreadsheets the planning still lives in. Tracking questions and budget questions stop being separate jobs.

"List my GTM containers and what tags are live in my main container."
